Mindful Therapy for Men

A person with short brown hair, wearing a black shirt, smiling outdoors in front of yellow flowers and green trees under a cloudy sky.

I'm Dr. Scott Stricker, a licensed psychologist specializing in mindfulness-based therapy for men.

As men, it can be hard to ask for help when we're in pain. We've been taught that silence is strength — so we check out, numb out, and slip into cycles of fear, anger, and isolation.

My job is to help you break that cycle.

I work with teen and adult men to understand what's driving their patterns and build real skills to change them.

Therapy that feels…

  • Therapy that coaches you to slow down and pay closer attention to your inner experience, so you can get out of autopilot and live more intentionally.

  • Therapy with real-life application, giving you concrete tools you can actually carry into work, relationships, and day-to-day life.

  • Therapy grounded in respect and compassion that is focused on what you most care about, without judgment.

  • Therapy that sees emotional struggles as part of being human, not personal failures, especially in a culture that discourages men from feeling, slowing down, or asking for help.

  • Evidence-based therapy that draws from multiple approaches to fit what you need and what works best for you.
